Business Psychologist and CEO of Actus, Lucinda Carney developed this virtual people management training in response to the need generated by the pandemic and since then over 1500 people managers have taken part in this programme. It provides line managers and team leaders with an essential set of tools to enable them to manage the performance and wellbeing of a team. Covering concepts from objective setting to psychological safety, talent management to managing underperformance, it provides an excellent grounding or set of reminders for new or experienced people managers. In addition to the interactive, live training sessions, the content is supported by aligned e-learning, an e-book and podcasts.

Post work: Practice delivering quality feedback

Module 4 – Preventing Underperformance

Pre-work: Map the performance levels of your team

  • Understanding the causes of underperformance in a hybrid workplace
  • Turning performance round
  • Adapting your style to effectively deal with underperformers
  • Dealing with specific challenging scenarios around performance

Post work: Personal development plan and 360 feedback if requested
