Dealing with Underperformance Training Course

Many managers lack the confidence and therefore the skill to pick up on potential performance issues and turn them around. This leads to disengagement, frustration, low performance and ultimately attrition. This training course has been designed to address this problem and is available as a fully virtual two part programme or one day face to face. This is currently available as an in house programme although feel free to register interest for future open programmes by emailing info@actus.co.uk.

Part 1 (am)  – How to manage underperformance (principles) 

Learning Outcomes: 

  • Knowing when and how to ‘draw a line in the sand’  
  • Diagnosing the causes of underperformance 
  • Adapting your style according to the cause 
  • A simple model for managing underperformance 
  • When and how to handle sensitive issues 

Part 2 (pm) – Turning underperformance round (practical)

Learning Outcomes: 

  • Planning how to open a performance discussion
  • Using the Performance, Expectation, Gap (PEG) model 
  • Applying coaching skills to managing underperformance 
  • Guidance on how to manage real life scenarios 
  • Opportunity to practise  

Cost £1250 – Two virtual sessions or £1750 for one day face to face
