  • Do you support Single Sign-On and Active Directory?

    In short YES but we work on a case-by-case basis. We can provide SSO hosting & connection or pure SSO. One of the first questions we ask is: “Do you already have your own Ipd server in place that we can connect with or do you need us to set this up from scratch and host it for you”? The former is quicker, simpler and cheaper but we have plenty of experience in delivering both. Get in touch so we can discuss this further.

     

     

  • How long will implementation take?

    This question depends on how prepared you are. For example we have set up, implemented and provided system training in less than a week as the client wanted to move quickly and was prepared with the data and resources available. A typical implementation takes between 6-8 weeks or longer if a more complex change management programme is required. The system is configurable, therefore in reality all we need to get started is to understand what aspects you want to turn on and off (configuration), agree the terminology and look and feel, and then upload the data. If your data is accurate and up-to-date we just need a few fields on a secure spreadsheet. In reality what takes the time is paperwork and logistics (people co-ordinated for training), so talk to us and it’s likely we can meet your requirements.

  • What support is available during implementation?

    With our in-house change and project management experts you benefit from both our experience and expertise to ensure a smooth implementation. This is complemented with our tried and tested tools and support through the change process. Our project plans capture all aspects and each step of the way we have proven project plans, communication templates, and best practise guides, underpinned with project meetings with the right stakeholders to ensure success.

  • How do you account manage your customers once live with Actus?

    Throughout our journey together our Customer Success Team will continue to support and engage with you, booking regular account management calls based around your performance cycle to make sure you get the most from the system. All customers are invited to regular account management calls across an annual period, from the post implementation review through to an annual service review. We’ll share insights of system use through to understanding any potential training needs; this means you can be assured your business will see the benefits of our software.

    You can also join our free collaboration focus groups to meet with HR and OD contacts in similar sectors, attend our thought leadership webinars, listen to and become a guest on the HR Uprising podcast, and access our value added resources. We also run regular customer forums that you are invited to be part of. This allows you to meet other customers, network and find out our future plans based on your feedback.

  • Will our data be secure?

    Actus Software is securely hosted centrally in the UK. Why is this important? Well, first of all, because the software is cloud-based it means it is available 24/7 via the internet. It also means that you always have the most up-to-date version and you don’t have to install anything to use it.  We work with a number of hosting providers that have all the credentials that are needed to keep your data safe.

    However, the fact that we host in the UK cloud is really relevant too (lots of the other software companies are US-based which can be a bit complicated). The UK has some of the most stringent laws around data protection and because we host in the UK your data is bound by this. Some of our clients don’t like hosting their data outside of the UK/EEA because (in theory) the foreign governments can demand access to any data. It is not that they are likely to be that interested in your appraisal – but it is the principle.

    We are also registered on the UK’s digital marketplace which means we have had to jump through lots of hoops to show we are accredited to sell to government. Any more security or technical concerns, just get in touch!

  • Who are your data subprocessors?

    As part of GDPR compliance, clients also need to know about any Data Sub-processors as part of the Actus Service Provision. Further details of these are provided within our Privacy Policy, an updated version of which can be downloaded from this site, and upon request to security@actus.co.uk.

    Briefly, UK Servers, AWS (Ireland) & Memset Ltd are our data hosts, all of which are based in the UK/EEA. If you have any further questions around data security you can contact us on security@actus.co.uk.

  • Can I use Actus on my Smartphone or Tablet?

    Yes, Actus Performance Management Software has a mobile app for Android, iPhone, and iPad to meet the needs of remote workers using this through tablets and smartphones, however as it is a cloud-based system it also works brilliantly on PCs and Macs via a web browser.

  • How much does Actus cost?

    Actus performance management software is charged on a licence cost per employee, this means it is a cost efficient tool regardless of the size of your company. See our pricing tab to get an indication of cost based on the number of employees. For companies with over 1,000 employees we typically find the requirements can be more complex so we’d like to discuss your specific requirement to ensure we can provide accurate pricing.

  • Is Actus Software scalable?

    The SaaS HR software marketplace has many providers who offer a stand-alone solution. Actus offers stand-alone functionality or a complete people performance solution. This means you can simply add additional modules as the business matures through one system meaning you benefit from one login, no integrations and greater cost efficiencies.
