Virtual People and Performance Management

For 4 months during 2020, the world had to suddenly switch to remote working and this presented a whole new set of concerns and challenges to those businesses who had been resistant. However, counter to expectations, many found that their staff were happier overall and more productive. Some individuals and organisations thrived, while others struggled, and the difference all came down to one thing – the leadership style of people and performance managers. So, how can we ensure our virtual people and performance management best practices are adhered to by our managers?

Certainly, our aspiration is for everyone to perform at their best. However, in these strange socially-distanced times we need to re-think the importance and style of people management.
