The Accelerate Potential Programme

Starting out in your career or in a new business is challenging enough, without the backdrop of a pandemic and having to do it all remotely. There are many nuances, skills and simple pieces of working etiquette that entry-level professionals joining businesses may have missed out on. The key skills that would normally been achieved through observation, buddying and face-to-face induction may have slowed down the progress of bright, high potential recruits.

This four-module virtual training programme has been designed to overcome these circumstances by providing entry-level employees with an essential set of tools to help broaden their awareness and fill in the skills gaps that may have been missed due to remote or hybrid working. In addition, we aim to provide the delegate with increased self-awareness and confidence as well as an essential toolkit of workplace skills. This course will help them to maximise and accelerate their potential, performance, and engagement within any organisation.


This programme is suitable as a standalone set of modules or can also sit within a virtual induction or graduate development programme. Each delegate also receives membership to the Accelerate Potential WhatsApp community as well as a 30% discount off additional books, materials or courses. Cohorts are kept small to maximise interaction and collaboration.

The price is £599 £299 excl VAT per person for the full programme. Discounts are available for 3 or more delegates on the same course and we are also able to run this as an in-house programme on request. If you have a cohort of 6 or more people it is highly cost-effective to opt for an in-house programme where we can tailor the course and timings to your business requirements. A minimum of 6 people is required for an in-company course, with a maximum of 20 attendees per session. Priced at £3000 per standard 4 module cohort with up to 20 people.

For maximum benefit, delegates should attend all four modules with one cohort but we recognise this may not always be possible. In normal circumstances (with at least 48 hours notice) it may be possible to join a future cohort at no extra charge. Please note each module session includes an interval break.

Module 1 – Understanding ‘You’ – Setting yourself up for success

Pre-work: Complete social styles personality questionnaire

Course Content:

  • Understanding your communication style, both face to face and virtually
  • Building a professional identity online and in writing
  • Launching yourself into your virtual world of work
  • Practical examples about how to ask for support, demonstrate value and participate actively within a remote team

Post-work: Reflect on your individual communication style and your impact within your team. Complete a time management tracker.

Module 2 – Accountability and managing objectives for success

Course Content:

  • Accountability for high performers
  • How to set your own objectives and work towards them in a virtual world
  • Remote prioritisation and optimising time
  • How to ask for support to help you achieve objectives

Post-work: Review your priorities with your line manager and suggest key milestones or deliverables that may be helpful to demonstrate productivity.

Module 3 – Developing your image in a virtual world

Course Content:

  • How to represent yourself professionally on external platforms – etiquette and guidance
  • Relationship building in a virtual world
  • How to sell yourself within your organisation – practical tips and advice
  • Developing winning business relationships with key stakeholders

Post-work: Carry out a stakeholder and influencer evaluation and consider how you might build relationships with key stakeholders in your organisation.

Module 4 – Managing your career in a virtual world

Course Content:

  • How to give and receive feedback and what to do with it
  • Taking ownership of your learning
  • Understanding the importance of appraisals and performance feedback
  • How to get recognition and key career skills
  • Next steps and setting goals
