About Actus – The Company

Actus the company was founded as Advance Change Ltd in 2009 by Lucinda Carney, a respected Business Psychologist. With a senior corporate background in Learning and Organisational Development she understood first-hand the challenges of making Performance Management meaningful, especially when working with clunky HR or paper-based performance appraisal systems. Actus Software emerged from this experience  and quickly became a respected brand in the Performance and Talent Management market place. The software became so popular that the decision was made in 2014 to trade under the name of Actus.

Since its inception, Actus has been one of the pioneers of Performance Management technology in the UK and has won several business and technology sector awards recognising its achievements.  The ultimate goal has always been to harness technology and introduce behaviour changes to help overcome people and performance challenges and drive performance improvement and engagement.

Lucinda’s passion and experience have driven the creation of an easy to use, intuitive Performance Management  system supported by value add consultancy and training. The idea is to make it easier for busy HR teams to spend less time administering paper and spreadsheets and more time adding value in their organisations. This is done by automating the administration and providing highly visual, real time management reporting.

The team at Actus are experts in demonstrating how a Performance Appraisal System should align with organisational strategy to deliver sustainable results. We have subject matter experts on Culture Transformation, Performance Management and Engagement to help create a strong business case or convince the board of the strategic value of improved Performance Management.
